But that’s the point. A brain tumor, undiagnosed presumably due to incompetence (as well as disbelief) was the main culprit, but immortality requires effort (and proof) Or is he just crazy?

How much scientific advancement has resulted from monitoring internal organs (all of them!) Except stomach, digestive tract, heart, lungs, and brain as they regenerate? Also the lungs have regenerated too. Were very thin nearly transparent. Apparently my psychic senses are still intact (though atrophied are also regenerating since brain surgery) how long will be needed to regenerate brain matter?
Now we know someone can survive without a liver or kidneys. Just avoid certain foods, eat slow annd eat with your hands . The six chamber heart has never been recorded prior! definitely not imaged (ultrasound, echocardiogram, and mri) also with heat vision).
Would anyone else have done that? Only to prove a point!
