Bladder spasms

Has anyone ever had bladder spasms. It has to be one of the most painful things a guy can go though. I've been having them for months now and my doctor can't figure out why.

Have you had an mri or ultrasound for kidney stones? Any background of UTIs. Prostate ok? Have you had gout? If you do experience incontinence you might want to check out the Urastop on Amazon.

@Cigarguy101 it might require a diet change to alter your pH. I was having gout which is caused by purines in certain foods. I reduced/eliminated consumption of some items ( beer, red meats, liver, kale, soda, seafood) and have been drinking lots of water with half a lemon or tart cherry juice and it's helped. No meds. If i slip up on my diet it doesnt take long and i start to feel it. They'll figure it out.

@Tastyfrzz I have a horrible relationship with food. I struggle with an eating disorder

@Cigarguy101 How are you with eating foods, and drinking liquids, that have acid? Do they upset the bladder? You might want to do a meal plan, on what you eat and drink, and see if you get any relief. It’s pretty much the same kind of meal plan you would use for your eating disorder, but instead of writing down your feelings, you’re writing down how the foods make your bladder feel. Could be something to take with you when you go to the doctor.

Yes, all the time. I have a condition called interstitial cystitis. It feels like a UTI and it’s extremely painful, especially when I get bladder spasms. It’s difficult to diagnose, and doctors are quick to tell patients to drink cranberry juice, which makes the condition worse. It took years for finding the right doctor to diagnose me. It took a urologist to do any real tests on me.

You might want to see about meeting with a urologist, for your bladder issues. Perhaps they can give you better answers than a regular doctor.

Sorry to hear that. Nothing good can come from that. I assume they have done lots of blood work to see if any thing else pops up.
