Old and sickly people are very susceptible to COVID (and Flu) so should be protected against it...and people that visit with them should be mindful of this....no scam, just needs to be properly targeted so people are careful not to hurt them.
@fun4us2b more ppl die each year in instances of "gun violence" thus its vastly over stated that covid is a "disaster" its only the newest distraction.
@HootyTheNightOwl i get the vaccine and encourage others to. Regardless reality is more ppl die of a number of other things other than covid each year. But no one seems to freak out about those preventable deaths. School shootings is the most notable example.
@jehova In 2020 Covid was a disaster. We now have significant herd immunity, but it was disastrous that first year.
Here in the table are US death numbers for the top ten causes of death for six years ending in 2020. Notice how there are 20% more deaths in 2020 than the average of the previous five years? Doing the math, that's 500,000 excess deaths in 2020.
Notice how, in 2020, 345,000 of those 500,000 excess deaths are classified as Covid? Notice how almost all causes of death rose in 2020, including cancer & heart disease?
