So my Mum had this operation on her eye, cause she had a macula hole and the doctor said she should

And in the process they suck out all the vitreous (clear jelly/jelo in the eye basically). Then they inflate a balloon in the retina apparently,
and now she has to wait for the vitreous to refill naturally.

Pretty cool huh? I didn't realise they did that.
