Tell me what you know, please?

My daughter spent a week in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. Her stepdaughter got sick there. A friend who met them there took sick after arriving home day before yesterday. Now my daughter is ill too. They think it’s dengue, “but no fever.” Her stepdaughter was sick for three days and it appears her friend is on about the same schedule.

You know anything about Dengue?

I know only what I've read. The first time you get it the symptoms are often mild or even undetectable. The second time can be awful (dengue is sometimes called breakbone fever due to the pain). There are 4 different strains of dengue. But I imagine you've read those things yourself. I've been paying attention to what I read about dengue because I'm considering visiting an area that has a lot of it. I hope your daughter has a short mild case.
@Poppies Thank you, Poppies. I guess it comes down to balancing the joy of travel against how sick one gets.
