Almost died from low blood sugar while ago

I came home from work and was so sleepy I took a nap. Had my alarm set for 12:20am to get up and take my medicine and take a bath before bed. Well that didn't happen. I woke up having seizures and convulsions from extremely low blood sugar! I had glucose tablets on my nightstand, but apparently in my seizures, I had knocked everything on the floor or into the trash. I couldn't walk and was covered in an ice cold sweat- my clothes were soaking wet. My glucose tablets from my nightstand were on the floor and I couldn't get to them but thankfully my purse was next to me in my bed and I ate almost the whole tube, then was able to hold onto the walls to make it to the refrigerator in the kitchen, where I ate a couple of spoonfuls of honey and drank some dragonfruit juice. Then I was able to walk good enough to take a bath and after awhile I checked my blood sugar because it still feels extremely low....but it's 478! Normally when it's high, I give insulin, but since it still feels low, I'm scared to. I don't understand what happened or why I slept through my alarm like that!
Super scary!! Times like this is the only time that I am scared to be single and alone in my bed. I almost died tonight but it's apparently not quite my time yet.

This scares me, my granddaughter (12) has type one too, her mother looks after her (Extremely well). Her father (also a type 1diabetic) died on his own 12 years ago,
Her mother is struggling as a single mum, working two jobs and looking after my granddaughter and I know that the daughter will have to be on her own one day.
Because her mum does such a thorough job looking after her, she has become dependant on mum to the point that she wont do what is needed for herself survival, taking for granted that mum will always be there.
Bless you "Mardrae" you do well to keep going. ❤️

@Mardrae I hope all goes well for you and you can relax a little, as much as any woman can relax.

@Uncfred thank you but I think I have forgotten the meaning of the word relax. 😂

@Mardrae I understand, seeing other women and how they manage in life, relax is a distant dream,

That is frightening! I hope you're ok now. 🌺

I know what you mean about how scary it is to be alone in the house with health problems. I do worry about the future.

@SW-User me too. I have 2 roommates, but one never ever speaks and the other one is 84 years old.

@WannaTouchSomeone yeah, I have a Minimed 770G that I am still paying off. Got several more years of financing that.
