Wish I could get a service dog
I find it sad that there are people who pass their dogs off as service dogs, and the person hasn’t 1)Trained their dog to be a service dog and 2)Don’t even have a disability that may require a service dog, to perform specific tasks, for them.
This is very dangerous, especially for those who actually have disabilities and need service dogs to help them get around. The untrained, out of control dog, can do harm to not only the people nearby, but also to the real service dog at work.
It’s sad knowing this, is the reason I choose not to have a service dog for my disability. My kids want me to have a dog, and the only way I would have gotten one, was so that he or she be used as a service dog. I would’ve felt safer having a service dog, had we lived in a world, where people were more considerate of those, who require help, that they don’t need. I wish people would think about that, but I guess that’s too much to ask.
