There does seem to be a basic distrust of the government, politicians, and pharmaceutical executives. I'm not sure what that stems from.
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy Yes, there does. Any thoughts on where that emerged from?
@ElwoodBlues distrust of the government from both the left and right stems from 250 years plus of misdeeds, from both the left and right within the U.S. government (Republican Richard Nixon and Democrat Lyndon Johnson just to name a few...... and distrust of pharmaceutical execs might come from the lies they have fed us about opioids, benzos, etc. Is there any wonder why people distrust the government and the greedy CEOs of the pharmaceutical industry.

@ElwoodBlues The largest genocide in history was of American Indians, you think that might have something to do with distrust of government?
@cherokeepatti yep, Democrat Andrew Jackson orchestrated the largest genocide in our country's history. And you have Republican Abraham Lincoln who ordered the largest mass execution in the country's history (Dakota Tribe). cant imagine why anyone wouldnt trust the government, huh.

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy the Indian boarding school home thing contributed to it too. I’ve known people who lived in those homes, none of them trusted the government and some ended up with chronic drinking problems due to their memories.
@cherokeepatti Largest genocide in history? No way.

He is probably referring to the effects of the Indian Removal Act.
@SomeMichGuy Yes, he was, but my response was to @cherokeepatti, who said "largest genocide in history" without the "our country" qualifier.
@ElwoodBlues Ah, ok! lol

I don't see her posts; I should have read your reply more carefully. 👍
