This question is too simple. It demonstrates a lack of understanding of the science. If someone were to state a percentage, it would likely be 1000% or higher.
In the initial round of vaccinations, we need about 90% (roughly) of the WORLD population (of all ages now, not just above the age of 12) vaccinated, both shots of a 2-shot regimen.
But that's not the end of the story. To keep the pandemic from making a come-back, everybody already vaccinated will need a booster shot every 6-8 months at most.
The end game:
Several years down the road, we will all get a covid shot, maybe once or twice a year. Like the annual flu shot. But the problem is, there is no covid season. That's why the covid shot might need to be twice a year. Maybe Covid shot June, Flu shot September, Another Covid shot December. Repeat next year....
