Organic or Conventionally Grown?

I don't know why the cost of organic food is so much higher than food that's conventionally grown. You would think the cost of the pesticides used in conventionally grown would be added to the price. What's so costly about not using bug spray? 🤷‍♂️

Organically grown is higer maintenance.
There is also higjer potential for loss of harvest.

Pesticides and chemical fertilizers are more efficient.
Ie - you just spray them on....en masse.
Where as if you are spreading manure - it takes more labour .

Sometimes to keep bugs away - you have to companion plant, (planting two types of plant together)....which then halves your harvest.

Hope this helps
@OogieBoogie It does. Thanks. 🫂 x
