Organic or Conventionally Grown?

I don't know why the cost of organic food is so much higher than food that's conventionally grown. You would think the cost of the pesticides used in conventionally grown would be added to the price. What's so costly about not using bug spray? 🤷‍♂️

Chemicals are easy to mass produce and most farmers have the equipment, they know what yields the best harvest, that's just what they do.

Organic soil can take years to achieve because much farmland is already polluted. They use natural pesticides and insecticides that are more costly. Nutrition and weed control need more diligence. It's a more laborious process.

It's unfortunate, but many companies capitalize off of doing things naturally.
@AlchemyFox I saw a video of a piece of farm equipment that uses ai and lasers to zap bugs and weeds!

@SooperSarah That's so cool! Most newer farm equipment even utilizes GPS.
