Organic Roti [I Eat Organic Foods]
Here is some organic roti I made recently. This recipe provides two servings.
Ingredients:
1.75 cups white flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 T veg oil
140ml water
1) Mix dry ingredients first, then add wet ingredients - make sure the oil is warm or it won't mix well. Mix with a spoon, then use your hands to make a dough. Cover it and let it rest for 30 minutes.
2) Cut into six even pieces with a knife. Pulling it with your hands will result in uneven sizes.
3) Roll into balls.
4) Flatten with a rolling pin on a floured surface.
5) Fry in a little bit of oil over medium heat on both sides until they're puffed up and speckled on both sides.
Enjoy with curry, as a wrap or even plain if you want a tasty snack :)
