Thing is shes not really describing respect, she's describing acquiescence.
Respect is showing someone reguard for their value and rights as a human being.
By all means be compassionate and caring, and make a point of showing it..
But - it goes both ways .
If a person, (man in this case), needs to be a boss of their partner, then that respect aint going both ways.
