Did you ever skive off school cause you knew you had a presentation to give?

No. I always made sure to be the first to give my presentation, because no one would be paying attention. They’d all be so wrapped up in how nervous they were about their own presentations, that I might as well be talking to a wall.
@Colonelmustardseed I was the same way in speech class my junior year of high school, every week a new teacher picked presentation. This is also when I discovered the merits of true Socialism while researching it for one of them. This was also long before the internet, and being allowed library access to the local private college because one of the voluntary staff members of my group home I was in was a student there.
@NativePortlander1970 I remember being frustrated when reports started requiring we cite two internet sources, and being told that the ones I chose weren’t legitimate. I was like, I cited plenty of legitimate literary sources, though! Use them!!! 😭
@Colonelmustardseed Honestly, when I first discovered the internet as a massive info junkie, I thought I found Nirvana, as the years passed, and seeing all the bs being put online, I started seeing the internet as nothing but a vast network of ignorance and disinformation.
@NativePortlander1970 Yeah. Have to know what sites are the best for info. My sister who was a nurse told me which medical sites to check out. WebMd is not it. As for finding legitimate news sources, I haven’t found a single one lacking biased information.
@Colonelmustardseed They're all biased and sketchy anymore, it's disgusting.
