Sunday's feast lol 🍔 Experiments with celery root...:) Creative menu!
Hash browns with rosemary and celery root burger - no bread today so I used the root itself, cut in circular pieces, to form a base, middle and top and stabilised it with rosemary branches - since I've got no toothpicks! I fried it in margarine and added salt and paprika. Includes tomato, onion, salad, potato.
Accompanied by salad with cabbage, green apple, tomato, onion, oregano, carrot, few raw celery root pieces, bits of boiled potato and oil.
@Jenny1234 good question.. very particular taste. it has something from celery, but as much as fennel bulb taste is related to fennel green, if you ever had that...
When baked/fried has a texture somewhere between baked/fried potato and baked apple. The taste is sweet and salty and has some particular freshness to it. Perhaps shares something in taste with the long white radish -when cooked again.
Raw is hard and fresh but once cooked it softens and sweetens.

@Musicman I love him, all of them of course, but this time around, Prin got a special place in my heart. Some of the previous cats that I held dear here were adopted during the year I was away... And others less popular, more shy, became more confident. I love that!
