Do you believe a "proper human diet" should only contain meat, fat, salt, butter, and water?

I have my doubts...fruit and vegetables have been growing forever and people probably been drinking goats and other animals milk for quite a long time.
Ancients ate grains as well.

Everyone is different and has different nutritional needs. I support the Mediterranean diet heavy on fruits and vegetables light on meat and fat.

@Lostpoet I think many diets work when each diet tries to eliminate highly processed foods and sugar.
I need the good fats (I get too hungry without them and overeat), and my blood sugars rise too high with a plant-based diet, especially the wheat and grains.
Even the whole wheat.
As you said, there is not a one fits all, most likely.
If it works for you, keep that up.
I don't preach my diet as the only good one out there.
