There's more than one way to skin a fish!!! At least THIS ONE!
I wanted something different on my diet, so I picked up some cod fish. I was so hungry at the time I didn't fall it out all the way and that was the big mistake. Duh!! 😂 So naturally it didn't cook well and it was tough. Well, that turned me against it altogether (I'm funny that way). I've had cod fish sandwiches before and really like them, so thought they would be a good change.
Well, I wasn't about to let it defeat me. So instead of getting aggravated and throwing out the whole unopened bag of cod fish, I decided it wasn't going to defeat me, so while ago I fried it and yes it was all thawed out like it should be. Haha The result was good. It turned out so good and soft. In fact, I'm eating it right now and it's pretty good, cuz I have drowned it....umm....enhanced its taste.... in butter, and don't lecture me on butter, because I'm on the carnivore diet and it's helping me lose weight. Butter helps melt the fat away and it doesn't hurt your heart like they try to tell us. I'd rather eat that than margarine, because margarine is primarily made from vegetable oils, which are then solidified through a process like hydrogenation, and often includes additives like emulsifiers, salt, and preservatives.
I COULD have fried it in butter if I had wanted to, but instead I used lard which doesn't hurt one bit. So for now, I have an alternative to the same old blah blah recipes. However, I've been doing further study on even a better diet. And red meat is a "no no" because it causes chronic pain and inflammation in me. I'm doing extensive research, because our bodies truly need tailored food, which best fits US. No two individuals are the same and what works for one may not work at all for the other so we really have to experiment and I believe if we love ourselves, we'll take the time to do that and get our diet right.
I don't think I'll buy cod fish again. I like catfish instead. 😂
