Am I a bad person for sometimes using a can of tomato soup for the base of a pasta sauce?

Am I going to heck for using a cheap, $0.80 can of no name tomato soup, adding some herbs and spices, maybe some finely chopped onions and cooking it down until it's a sweet and savory red sauce instead of using a can of tomatoes? Will the Italian gods punish me?
