Yes and yes!! On a sub, def with cheese. But a melt is next level awesome. I'll make that at home sometimes.
Slice a bagel in half and put half back in the fridge.
Grill it first and then mix up some chicken salad.
Lay a slice of cheese on the bagel (to cover the hole).
Pile the chicken salad on top.
Cover with second slice of cheese.
Pop in the toaster over for a few minutes to melt the cheese and voila! 😋

@Coralmist You can also add some dill pickle slices for some crunch or a slice of tomato. Or sometimes I add a slice of onion. Whatever you add, it goes under the final slice of cheese so everything is held together. 😁

@sarabee1995 You must have ESP because the two veggies I put on my chicken salad sandwich are tomatoes and pickles!!
