Does anyone on this site drink olive oil?

About the size of a shot glass a day, I'm talking about. I've seen a few things on line about people extolling its hair-enriching, skin glowing, weight reducing properties. Is there any truth in any of their claims? If so, why haven't we heard them before?

Seems far-fetched but what is loosely called the "Mediterranean Diet" is very healthy partly, but not only, by using olive oil among its many and varied ingredients.

Whether it would have those properties you quote, I have no idea but suggest the whole diet is what counts, not simply drinking olive-oil.

@ArishMell The original Mediterranean diet and not the Americanized one actually uses quite a bit of olive oil. I remember looking up one what the actual diet was and there was a blog written by someone who grew up there and has family. They said a lot of their veggie dishes are literally tons of olive oil, like we're talking at least a half cup LoL. It was a blog griping about how Americans try to limit their intake and saying it was Mediterranean but then they put a few original dishes and it was the exact opposite lol.

I don't remember what these dishes were called, they called something very specific but yes it's true they use a lot of olive oil traditionally.

@ArishMell oh yeah this wasn't the link but it's another person they comes close to what I was saying, apparently traditional Mediterranean dieting uses at least two cups Oliver oil per day.

@SatanBurger That's a heck of a lot of oil! I wonder how many servings those are for, and how much of that total anyone actually eats.

@ArishMell The link says around two cups every day plus they take shots. The olive oil over there is fresh
