I am still waiting for the transformation, but I have lost 11.2 lbs since last June.

@Musicman Thank you!

@4meAndyou I need to get on the scale and do a better job of tracking my weight.

@4meAndyou wow! Is this the result of only reducing sugar intake?
4meAndyou · F
@Kasiyat Nope. I wanted to lose weight, so I asked my doctor what she recommended, and she told me to go on the No White diet, which includes no sugar.

@4meAndyou good to know. Do you not get sugar cravings or used to get? How did you tackle those?
4meAndyou · F
@Kasiyat Yes, I do get sugar cravings. I've had to clean out my cupboards and get rid of all the bad stuff, and I use Splenda if I absolutely HAVE to have sugar. The no white diet says to eat fruit if you are craving sugar, but that doesn't do it for me, so I eat fruit cups...peaches or something similar, packed in their own juice, and I drink the juice.

@4meAndyou thank you for elaborating, I'm told to reduce /avoid sugar.. I did for a month and a half and then I've been going back to my old ways... Mostly it's because I'm stressed, so sugary foods help me calm down... It's just a habit. I need to get back on track.
I'm curious what else do you add/avoid on no white diet?
If I'm asking too many questions, I shall stop. 😬

@Kasiyat The No White Diet is actually on the internet, so you can get most details there, but the basics are lean meats only, no white rice, no potatoes, no baked goods or anything made with white flour, no sugar, etc.

I eat things like oatmeal for breakfast with fresh blueberries and Splenda. I eat a lot of those salad kits, and I don't freak out if the salad dressing contains a tiny amount of sugar, or if the crunchies in the kit are illegal. I make a lot of soups, and chili, and beans. I just cooked a butternut squash, and I plan to make a butternut squash, onion, apple and chopped collard greens soup with sliced cooked hot Italian sausages...(NOT a lean meat, but I am very relaxed about eating improperly once in a while.
