Abdominal spasms are no fun

I really need to not eat wheat. Just one grilled cheese sandwich on whole wheat at dinner and I’m up at 5:30am with abdominal spasms. Literally what a pain. Ugh. But I love foods that contain wheat and it is so hard to resist when it doesn’t happen every time. 😭

Do you have anything you really need to stay away from but find it nearly impossible to resist?

I am on the "no white foods" diet. It's like a nightmare. No potatoes, no rice, no white flour, no sugar, egg whites only, no cheese, no butter, no baked goods. It's tough. I can eat meat and fruit and veggies. I find myself wanting butter and potatoes and baked goods...and CHEESE.

@4meAndyou I could never do that I love all those things.

@4meAndyou eat raw dairy - grass fed butter - cut out all seed oils you’ll be fine. Don’t believe all the crap about cholesterol . Eat an animal based diet and you’ll feel much better. The veggies don’t help and can in fact inflame many.

@Luckylu I was what they call pre diabetic. I am very familiar with the horrors of diabetes, because so many of my cousins have had it. One of my female cousins decided to die of gangrene in her foot, rather than have her foot amputated. I was so angry with her for blaming it on God...saying it was HIS will, when, in fact, it was HER will. But that's not important.

What it comes down to, and what IS important, is the choice. The choice between greed and stuffing ourselves with the things we love to eat, or CHOOSING to be tough and CHOOSING not to be sick.

@Cooperman I don't know about raw dairy. Yogurt and cheese are not included in the No White diet, but No White Diet sufferers can have milk. We are not allowed to have butter, but we can have olive oil.
Meat is definitely included on the diet, and I find that if I am making soups, I can put beans in the soup instead of rice or potatoes and that seems to help with the carb cravings...a little.
