I finally have decided to get motivated and start beginning to care for my physical health. I have weighed too much for too long. So yesterday I started weight watchers to help me in the process.

I need to lose quite a bit of weight. I have diabetes, so weight loss with more exercise should help get that more under control.

Anyway if anybody else here is in the same process, I've joined that journey. If you used Weight Watchers has it been a positive experience?

I've used the high protein low carb stuff before, but smaller portions more times per day, and avoidance of the obvious enemies + exercise is really the only way to keep it off. The high protein low carb works, but it conditions your metabolism to put the weight back on real fast!

@Oberon1 Good going.

@OverTheHill I've lost 50 pounds in a year, but now I've been hit with sciatica. Everything has become 10 times as difficult and a hundred times more painful! Call me a whaaambulance! 😭😆

@Oberon1 If it's on the right side, potassium may help. If it's on the left, sodium may help.

@AbbeyRhode A herniated disc in my lower back has caused excruciating pain in my right leg from the soles of my feet to my hip. My ankles and knee were already bad, so they are a bonus!

@Oberon1 Ouch! My Mom has several bad discs, and I know it's been awful for her. I've read that ginger may offer a bit of relief, and there are stretches that are supposed to help, but it's easier said than done when one is in pain.
