Well as much as I like pasta dishes, and I do like what you have there, I really wouldn't call it a salad.
I know, I know some do call that a salad. Yet my salads are mostly vegetables.
Sometimes with meat, eggs and cheese yet at least 80% vegetables yet never any pasta.

@bijouxbroussard I know, just like some like to call potato salads a salad, yet any starches doesn't make a salad a salad.
And I do like potato dishes as well. Comes mostly from my sister in-law being a vegetarian. She wouldn't call any of those a salad either.

@nightjourney try red potatoes. The skin isn't as tuff and I often don't peal them at all. Even baked red potatoes I eat the skin.
Both potatoes and pasta are starches. So is rice.
Now there's a novelty...
Rice salad!
