Trans fats, a man made fat, used in processed foods, chocolate bars, cakes etc, it acts as a preservative gives the foods a longer shelf life, but makes people fat, in the process

@ididntknow Trans fats were created by accident in an attempt to make a healthy substitute for butter. I find that so ironic. The whole point was to make a food better for your health and instead the result was making something much worse.

@ididntknow It's not something that is used, it's a byproduct of what is achieving shelf life.

@MartinTheFirst is that a split hair I see
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@ididntknow its quite important to not spread misinformation that people intentionally put poison into food.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ididntknow I don't understand what you mean. A split hair?
ididntknow · 51-55, M
@MartinTheFirst I didn’t say they put poison into foods I said the use trans fats in foods to extend its shelf life, which is the reason so many people are getting fatter, incidentally, it also kills hundreds of thousands of people, every year,
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@ididntknow which is complete bullshit
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@ididntknow trans fat is a poison
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@ididntknow ...ok? I don't see how that's relevant to anything I said. I was telling you about how trans fats were created because it's chemically interesting. What does any of that have to do with my comment?

@ididntknow I don't know why you're commenting this at me. I already know that trans fats are very bad for you. All I was trying to do was tell you about how they first were created.

@ididntknow youre a little slow hu?
