I disagree with it only in that I don't think there is a master model for love and relationships. This may be a hot take these days but I think the traditional male breadwinner model, the everyone works model, and even the female breadwinner model are all valid.
The important thing is that everyone is contributing. If I'm "affording to take care of you" then I'm going to have different expectations of you when it comes to homemaking than I would if we're both pulling in a paycheck. And if my partner is making the big money I'm going to be making sure I am doing the homemaking.
