Is this what physically fit people mean when they tell overweight people to get in shape?

Every time I’m on some forum, in public, or just hear the topic come up it pisses me off. When someone that is overweight or out of shape asks for dating advice the first thing someone tells them is to lose weight. When someone sees an overweight person in a relationship with someone that is skinny or physically fit people ask how the overweight person got with the skinny person. It seems like skinny or physically fit people act like overweight people have to lose weight or be in good shape to deserve love or be worthy of a relationship.
i think people may be dong this for different reasons. some, yes, are just being mean and superficial. but there are some that have unrealistic expectations when it comes to their partner. its not exclusive to weight, its really every aspect in life. its common to hear someone say i need someone at least 6 foot and makes at least x amount of $. i think when people are looking for something that they themselves are not there is an issue there. but if someone is just looking to date and isn't requiring the partner to be "fit" it doesn't really matter what the person is, to each their own.
@CookieCrisp fantastic reply 👏👏 some of the prettiest woman I know are heavier than they would personally prefer to be , to me a woman's beauty starts in her eyes and smile

Yeah, I didn’t date for years and hid away due to my size,I wish I’d have just gone for it years ago. People like all shapes an sizes dont wait just put yourself out there.
Not everyone likes slim and fit and there’s personality too

I meant to person looking at you doesn’t always want slim and fit or I’d still be single@allygator18

Doctors are the same, they'll point to your weight before considering any other possible reason.

you will always get judgemental opinionated people, making false judgements, you just have to ignore them like they don't exist.
It's disgusting to only focus on weight... Eating healthy and exercising isn't enough for anyone.

Wrong strategy to put pictures online for dating. Instead attract attention by your posts or conversation and chat up.

It's a myth that gals look for men in shape and that's why you get such replies. Also it's not advisable to ask for dating advice as none have experience and if they have they would not be replying to you.

So learn it yourself. It's just like how you learn to cycle or swim.

[@unholymanswer] 🤔in somecases i think it is rubbish about weight beauty is in the eye of the beholder , some when you ask them for advice and turn around and blame your weight are maybe being brutally honest in there eyes buy i thing that honesty is close too rudeness

It.does not matter what you weigh or.what someone else weighs when it comes to dating unless it matters to you. Losing weight is a personal decision that a person makes for themselves.

If you can't handle people's opinions then don't ask
Everybody is entitled to their opinion weather you agree or not
Call it millennia of genetic preference, instinctually people want their partners to be in shape because it shows healthy genetics that will be passed on, they want healthy offspring.
