To a degree. I think it can show that someone is showing a minimum effort and didn't just fall out of bed and showed up.

So in that sense I do.

But I don't care in the sense of their sense of style or whether it fits social convention.
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@ThomReidTheBlack Or, it can be the opposite... where people only wear designer or amazing clothes. They never dress down, and their appearance seems priority over anything in their life. :(
ThomReidTheBlack · 41-45, M
@Coralmist True. I mean there are extremes in either direction.

Nebula · 41-45, F
Not really. Unless they dress like Macho Man Randy Savage or wear bicycle spandex outfits
Bluebirdsonmyshoulder · 46-50, F
@Nebula what if it’s more like clothes they have had for 25 years or more that look like they are that old and not really taken care of?
Nebula · 41-45, F
@Bluebirdsonmyshoulder well maybe I would go shopping for them in that case
Only if it involves steak and lobster 🦞
Primnproper · 56-60, F
Im not impressed by designer or expensive clothes that cost a fortune..its all about the person inside those clothes for me. Who they really are.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@Bluebirdsonmyshoulder If i liked the person that they came over as then it would make no difference only in is there any way i can help this person if they need it..
Bluebirdsonmyshoulder · 46-50, F
@Primnproper yeah, I’m not quite there but I can appreciate what you’re saying as would he I’m sure
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@Bluebirdsonmyshoulder well for a start i never make assumptions about peoples appearances, they could look bad for a number of reasons it doesnt mean they're no good all round. Somebody could wear expensive clothes they got at a charity shop and pretend to be something they are not..
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
Me, not so much. My GF on the other hand only agreed to a second date if I would buy new shoes and let her pick out a different shirt 😂
Bluebirdsonmyshoulder · 46-50, F
@Zaphod42 and you did it. Awesome.
Magenta · F
Yes. It reveals how they feel about themselves, their hygiene, standards, etc..
I certainly wouldn't want him dressed as a bum.
Guy should look clean, neat and not smell like embalming fluid.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@luckranger71 Girl’s gotta have her standards.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
dating is the worst way to find a relationship
Bluebirdsonmyshoulder · 46-50, F
@MasterLee What’s the best way?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Bluebirdsonmyshoulder my way is likely not yours
WillaKissing · 56-60
Yes. I am not going to lie. And another reason I quit dating 10 years ago.
BEENOV · 51-55, M
On the first few dates it's important or until you have got to know and feel comfortable with the person
Eternity · 26-30, M
Within reason, no. If they look insane then they probably are but beyond that clothes are clothes.
Lilymoon · F
It's fine at home no biggie. But if we're going out then yeah as long as it's clean lmao
scorpiolovedeep · 46-50, M
Not really.
Better be good than pure looks.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
To a point. But it's not the most important factor
LifeIsShort · 31-35, M
Not so much.
