Besides the main fact, I´m no more dating.......
Besides that I´m a product of my generation an so an "old school" man.
I have some other reasons, good ones from my point of view, to keep part of the "spirit" of the courting side of dating.

Guys have always wanted to be treated with respect and affection. I take my bf out on little surprise dates often. Guys like to be treated too.

i certainly wouldnt want to be treated as a woman. You bringing up paying for women on dates though and i will just say that I dont pay for women on dates anymore. That to me comes off as if i am paying for her time and the relationship is not starting on equal footing.
I split the bill and if the woman complains, she aint for me.
A date is not a free meal, sorry ladies but you all wanted to be treated as men, so 🤷‍♂️

Don't have a problem with guys that wanted to be treated nice, having dinner bought for them, picking them up. Seems pretty equal if you ask me.

I've never heard of it. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen, but it must be comparatively rare.
