I went to a speed dating event last night

It wasn't actually speed dating. It was a lock and key.

All the guys are given a key and all the girls are given a lock.

You must find the person with the right lock for your key.

It was more fun than I thought it would be.

I’ve seen advertisements for those lock and key events. But what happens if the one person who holds the key to your lock is a complete arse. Wouldn’t you feel like you missed out on the opportunity to meet others?

In 2016 I did a speed dating event at a convention I went to. The rule was ONLY give your contact info if you were genuinely interested. I got one fake email and one fake number. In other words: The girls cheated a loophole in the rules...
