I was 25, he was 48. He drank enough to make me uncomfortable. Then, he said he wanted to see me again. When I hesitated about that, he got verbally abusive.

So….you think being nasty to me is the way to get a second date? 🤔
@SmartKat Too often, a first date solves the 'why are they single?' mystery.

His casual racism was off putting
NickiHijab · F
@bijouxbroussard Ugh, that's disgusting. You truly deserved better. And when I read segregated, it really put into perspective how this history of racism really wasn't that long ago.
@NickiHijab That’s true. I’ll be 62 in January. When I was in college the south was still segregated by custom. But when I was very small it was still segregated by law.
HakunaMatata · 51-55, M
@bijouxbroussard looks like you have seen and experienced a lot of change over the years. You should write a post on it. Would love to hear 🙂
Guy begged me to come stay the night with him. Turns out his friend just needed someone (ME!) to be on their podcast. Obviously I refused. And he was all cold and aloof in the morning. Glad I didn't have sex with him.
@Straylight It was pretty awful. Cried in the car on my way home
Straylight · 31-35, F
@AmbivalentFriability I’d say guys are weird, but I think it’s just most people.
@Straylight Truly. I have had some of the worst conversations with women on dating apps. However I wouldn't be worried about them raping and murdering me.
was talking to a guy on the phone after our date, he was with his 7yr old daughter, she took the phone from him and asked “are you going to be my new mommy?”
SW-User
@deathfairy That actually breaks my heart.
Peapod · 61-69, F
He thought it was completely normal to do a line of coke in his car before taking me to our next destination. I was stunned since I didn't do drugs at all and I never gave any vibe that I did.

It was even more shocking because he was a blind date my friend set me up with. She knew me well (and knew him) and knew this was not my scene at all. It wasn't hers either, but she lacked something that really left me dry. It was the beginning of the end of our friendship.

This was a very long time ago, but I never forgot it.
Peapod · 61-69, F
@SW-User Most definitely, but if I were to be honest, I didn't choose well after him. I had to hit my middle age years before I got it right.
SW-User
@Peapod What counts is you got it right. The age part is irrelevant. I'm glad you got the right one.
Peapod · 61-69, F
@SW-User Thank you. I do feel blessed for myself, but sad that my kids did not have the father they needed when they were growing up because of who I chose to make a life with.

I really didn't know better then, but know now. Luckily, my kids do love the man I am married to now, even though he didn't come into their lives until they were adults.
lost213 · 46-50, M
She had just gotten off work and changed her shoes while we were drivin to the movies.. I left the window down a bit to air it out while we were in the movie.
lost213 · 46-50, M
@SW-User it was a deal breaker..
SW-User
@lost213 Probably for the best.
lost213 · 46-50, M
@SW-User I’m sure it was
SkeetSkeet · 100+, F
He had a unibrow
Pretzel · 61-69, M
@SkeetSkeet and scars on his knuckles where he scraped them on the dirt as he walked?
HakunaMatata · 51-55, M
@SkeetSkeet some consider it lucky and a sign of fertility! Not kidding 😂
SW-User
@SkeetSkeet You know I don't believe you've mentioned that before. 🤔
YoungPoet345 · 26-30, F
His kisses were full of saliva. 🤢
YoungPoet345 · 26-30, F
@deathfairy oh, that sounds terrible
HakunaMatata · 51-55, M
@YoungPoet345 drooling over ya! 😁
YoungPoet345 · 26-30, F
@HakunaMatata maybe 😂
PatKirby · M
Worst date I can recall was in San Francisco with a woman who turned out to be a man-hater. On top of that she was higher than the international space station, ate like a dragon and spoke like a drunk sailor on leave. Dropped her off then sped off and did not return her calls. Sometimes you just gotta let some things go.

@HakunaMatata it gets worse. I'm so damaged (or was at the time) I kept going out with him. Until the day he left me in the movie theater mid movie because I wouldn't put out right there with other people around. He went to the bathroom and never returned. That one was on me for being dumb. After asking strangers for change, walking for a long while to the right bus stop, long bus ride, and more walking, I made it home safe
ButterRobot · 51-55, M
@MaliaAgain I'm horrified.
HakunaMatata · 51-55, M
@MaliaAgain God this is indeed horrible. I hope you learnt your lesson.
There were three equally as bad…
1) He really smelled awful, to the point that others in the theater got up and moved away from us. No second date.
2) He told me he was “separated” from his wife. Alas, he’d neglected to tell his wife, and she found us at a cafe. I paid for my food and left them yelling and screaming at each other.
3) He seemed so nice—but I ended up having to fight my way out of his car. 🤨
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard Holy wow!
Viper · M
As a youngster with someone whom was a couple months older than me.

The condom broke...
She told her sister
Sister told mother
Mother told father
Father told his shot
Shotgun told me

Lucky the shotgun was the strong silent type... and never said a word, but his presence spoke volumes
HakunaMatata · 51-55, M
@Viper funny but not at all funny!!! How old were you?
Rhonda · F
We met up for a drink. He brought his friend along who kept touching my arm and leering at me. I went to the toilet and never came back.
Azlotto · M
My wife showed up.
Pretzel · 61-69, M
@Azlotto only thing worse is if her probation officer shows up

or yours
I didn't know it was a date until she tried feeding me. And then I was awkward the whole time cuz she was 17
meggie · F
He claimed to of left his wallet at home and asked to borrow money
HakunaMatata · 51-55, M
@meggie that might be a random possibility. Was he nice enough? did he pay you back?
meggie · F
@HakunaMatata I didn't give him any money. I bought a bottle of wine and he gulped most of it down while talking about himself. I tend to think he had no money. I didn't see him again.
On the way home he made a joke about us spending Christmas together. It was January.
HakunaMatata · 51-55, M
@V00doo made me laugh like crazy 🤣😂
