Guys find independent, confident women quite intimidating right?

The male ego tends to be hurt by such traits
SW-User
I think men just find women who constantly talk about how they're strong and independent about as pleasing as men that constantly want to let you know how much money they earn, or how alpha they are, or how much of a nice guy they are.

Generally your positive points are to be seen not heard, and certainly not obnoxiously repeated day in and day out.

@SW-User Well said.
Tellmeaboutyourself · 26-30, F
@SW-User I've seen most of the women who tend to play the fragile, damsel in distress card all the attention
REMsleep · 41-45, F
@Tellmeaboutyourself One has nothing to do with the other. You asked if guys liked independent and confident women not do they like to be a man and provide for women.
Did it ever occur to you that men enjoy being needed just a women do?
I enjoy being needed.
Women are not intimidating

Some women try to bully ... and get ignored, like men that bully

Women are creative, resourceful and kind ... those attributes always attract interest.
Intimidating occasionally, but also very sexy.

@Max13 are you asking me or telling me? I think you'll find Wales are historically as repressed by England as any other nation or country they've tried to colonise or rule.
And I emphasise historically because you seem to be holding a nation to account for its forefathers crimes.
Probably just to get a rise...
To be honest I'm not bothered about your opinions or preconceived perceptions.
You come across as juvenile and self righteous, but worse from a SW point of view, repetitive and boring.😴

Loved by girls mostly

akindheart · 61-69, F
it can be intimidating especially if they don't have a strong ego or self esteem. i can be a little intimidating because i am so forthright in how i feel. you don't have to guess at all.
SmoothKnight · 51-55, M
@akindheart

One of your many virtues my friend 😁
akindheart · 61-69, F

It totally depends on how they express such traits. Quiet confidence screams independence...and is very sexy. Too many women are like "I don't need men at all because I'm superwoman". Guess what? Men don't need superwoman, either...
REMsleep · 41-45, F
No it depends how you display those qualities. It also depends on the guy.
Yes, I agree totally.
And being tall is enough to intimate most males.
I am 6'2" in heels and it's fun watching them squm fighting within to regain some ego.
@Robynthebeautiful i had a gf who was that tall without heels lol. I'm 6ft. Didn't matter to me. She was the right height i bent her over tho ;)
Fishy · 36-40, F
I've actually never had a guy say or express something like that to me, but I'm probably just lucky 😅

Actually, if I've ever been in a pinch it was the exact opposite 🤔
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
I think you’ve mostly described the response of a mentally weak man, or one who has become highly submissive.
Sometimes. Confident women are always "too much," but it's not only men who think this way.
Neoerectus · M
Mature (mentally, at any physical age) men do not.

Finding them can be a challenge.
Freeranger · M
What I find most amusing are women who think they know how men feel. So.....go be independent and confident or whatever, but stop thinking how you project yourself has some dire effect on a man. Intimidating? Ummm....no.
I mean, hooray for you, get on with your life, everyone else is trying to. The real independent confident ones aren't hanging a shingle around their necks.
@Freeranger at 6'2" in heels all I got to do is stand next to a shorter guy and intimate a guy without saying a word
My eyes and height says it all
Most males have fragile egos.
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
Some of us prefer independent confident women. What is there to be scared of?
PhaqueYou · M
No.

But you hate men. That shows along with your insecurity.
No. I like women who have their own..."sense of self".
LookingForTheSummer · 31-35, M
No. It's totally the opposite for me.
SmoothKnight · 51-55, M
On the contrary....

Not all guys, thankfully.
To me, that's not intimidating at all. It's very attractive. I would love to find a confident, independent woman. Do you know any?
WillaKissing · 56-60
Not for me, I find these types of women sexy and exciting.
pdockal · 56-60, M
Not @ all
SW-User
Not at all intimidating, no. I don't find anyone intimidating in the sense of intellect or confidence. I think it's about perceived threat and I don't see any threat.
Fukfacewillie · 51-55, M
I think that is often a rationalization.
Not at all, i enjoy being with women who know what they want and know what they like. I don't need to have my ego stoked, I'm very secure in who i am.
