Oh @sarabee1995 that is such a telling observation. I made the mental jump to the idea that there must have been some kind of uptick in crime, but you are right, the only justification he gave was "lots of them around" :(
@ThePatientAnarchist Lateral violence isn’t something people really think about unless they have to confront it in their daily lives. So yes, it does get complicated.
@beermeplease Indo-Canadian gangs take the lead in drug trafficking, extortion and terrorism (India-based Lawrence Bishnoi gang for extorting and intimidating B.C.'s South Asian community). And let's not forget the "Vancouver Model" (Chinese based drug pushing, money laundering and extortion).
While First Nations may have a higher addiction rate, they don't seem to be involved in the above.
@ThePatientAnarchist Hm, that's a very truncated and specific quote to be making such a blanket statement about Rogan's feelings on the matter. I suspect the MSM is taking a very selective quote and extrapolating disingenuously.
I googled: joe rogan on cancelling people for charlie kirk
And came back with results more indicative of Rogan's world view in my opinion:
Lot of republicans/conservatives (Trumpers and Facists especifically; though politicians in general) love to scapegoat. Or use one thing to justify and distract from what was already the main goal to justify blatant disregard of existing “policy” and rules/regulations. It is despicable
@V00doo I was struck by the Black security guard, who is working, probably at close to minimum wage, for a company whose top bosses are white people, blaming the apparent need for his services on Indigenous people. On some level, I would have expected to see soliidarity between people belonging to racialized minorities that face a lot of discrimination.
