Race gets complicated around here

There were half a dozen security guards in the drugstore/grocery store ("Shoppers Drug Mart") this evening. A white customer asked a Black security guard why there were so many, "have things been really crazy?" The security guard lowered his voice and said "yes! There's been so many of them coming in from the reserves because of all the fires."

(Translation: the horrible forest fires this summer have displaced many Indigenous People from their reserves -- or for you US SWeeps, many "Native Americans" have been displaced from their "reservations" -- to my city,) Whether this actually has increased shoplifting or vandalism to the point that the store needed to resemble a police station -- or whether that's just something other people, of various colours, think, I cannot say. 🥺

Well whatever you do, don't take the story at face value. It can't possibly be true.

Run it through your internal biases and prejudices and come up with a narrative that suits your existing belief system!

Stay woke! 👍
@SumKindaMunster Hi again! You are very good yourself at doing what you're describing here. Also you've forgotten the actual meaning of "woke" or you wouldn't be sarcastic about it.
Neither of the two obvious possibilities suits my preferred belief in human goodness. Either the Black guard was being racist, or Indigenous people are committing a lot of crimes. Fortunately, I don't expect reality to always be comfortable.

@SumKindaMunster I am always amused by the way so-called conservatives like you quickly drop any pretence of reasonable argument and switch to insults, which are not even directed at the people you are talking to but at a stereotype in your own minds.
In the situation I described, what do you think is the obvious answer?

@ThePatientAnarchist I seem to recall having open conversations with you, but I lost interest because you aren't sincere or genuine in your conversations.

So instead of challenging you or discussing with you, I make fun.

There really is nothing further I can learn from you. 🤷‍♂
@SumKindaMunster You are simply wrong about my answers; I am honest in conversations with you. In this case I am still curious about what you think the obvious answer is.

@ThePatientAnarchist Uh huh. Remember when you asked me to provide some links about sources I used?

And I did so.

Did you ever look at them and reply?

I mean, maybe I missed the reply, but I don't think I did.
@SumKindaMunster I have kept that in mind, and I noticed that Joe Rogan, one of the sources you mentioned, is unhappy about the new right-wing cancel culture phenomenon after the Charlie Kirk murder. I was wondering whether you agree with him on that.

@ThePatientAnarchist I'm not sure what you are talking about. Rogan is usually pragmatic about things. Is there something specific you are referring to?
