Racism is corrosive and needs to be challenged at all levels and in all contexts. People are good at packaging it up and associating it with vivid "monsters" like Hitler. But Hitler only succeeded because prejudice was endemic in German society.
So Level 1 racism is the worst of all because it exists in greatest volume and creates the seedbed of social division and mistrust. It needs to be challenged wherever it appears and called out for what it is . . no matter how socially and politically uncomfortable that may make us feel.
