In to the mind of a racist

Do racists genuinely think that racism is like living with schizophrenia. That racism is made up and racists doesn't exist?

I saw some racist jokes about how people "see racists everywhere, in their closet, under the bed"

So. The mind of a racist: Brush of and gaslight the reality a large number of people experience. Claim they are crazy obsessed and schizophrenic so they see pretend racism everywhere (because racism isn't real.)

I wonder if the try to gaslight and manipulate people in general in their lives. Can we say that racists who straight out deny racism are often having narcissist tendencies? Is there a connection there?

To always judge and look down on others and feed on hate speech stereotypes takes a certain type of person. I don't think they can hate others unless they deep down resent parts of themselves too.

Under hate hides fear. Racists are very scared people. But what are they so afraid of? Are they afraid of getting in danger? Do they want everyone with x skin colour to be far away from them to protect themselves? Do they honestly believe a coloured person is more dangerous?
Is it a revenge plot for personal reasons? Are they feeling inferior and taking it out on someone else?

The irony is that because racism exists. People who are targeted become on guard and feel in danger too. Which can make someone less polite. So it's fear verses fear.

The only way to stop fear is to realize that fear is an illusion. Fear itself can't change the course of events. Only actions can. But there's never any guarantee for safety. Where there's people. There's always a risk.

The first guy that comes to mind is one of the nicest guys I know in person, but almost everyday he posts angry rants on Facebook in which he often mentions a long, long list of topics the msm has supposedly lied about recently, among them BLM “riots” and “hands up, don’t shoot”.He seems to honestly believe that racism doesn’t exist anymore, except maybe for some black people who are racist against whites.

From what I’ve read, racists are really afraid that as the white population is shrinking the non-white population is increasing, and they’re honestly afraid that the non-whites who are replacing them are dumber and more compliant. If you assume that, most hysterical right wing media makes more sense. They may also be irrationally afraid that non-whites getting treated better will lead to non-whites getting treated worse and ultimately losing their rights. Think about it, since white people historically oppressed people of color, to someone who’s racist, why wouldn’t you expect them to treat you the same way if the power dynamic was reversed?

Of course white people and anyone else can be discriminated, but we will never experience racism and especially not a systematic one.

I don't believe the last part. I think that's what they say out loud. But really, they are afraid that coloured people will turn out to be more attractive (important and valued) than them.

They don't want to be inferior.

@Queendragonfly Well they at least believe that non-whites are more likely to vote Democratic and favor a robust, active government, which the racists view as “stupid”. I mean from guns to vaccines and masks to air and water pollution they’re giving up their rights to screw everyone else over!

@JPWhoo Racists are all over the political chart. You'd be suprised.

@Queendragonfly At least the loudest ones where I’m from are all right wing.

@JPWhoo The biggest racist I met irl, was against all politics, and from Pakistan.
JPWhoo · 36-40, M
@Queendragonfly “Against all politics” that doesn’t make sense. You mean like he was against all political parties? Or he just didn’t want to participate in politics himself? Or like he favored no permanent government like an anarchist?
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
@JPWhoo I think it makes sense. Not everyone cares about politics.
JPWhoo · 36-40, M
@Queendragonfly Okay, so he just didn’t want to participate in or keep up with politics himself? But it’s okay for everyone else to still do it?

I’m no political scientist myself, but I still think of that as right wing philosophy. Just passively right wing. He must be privileged because if he wasn’t he would have opinions/beliefs about what the government should do or not do to improve the living standards of people like him. Neutrality always favors the oppressors, as all that is needed for evil men to win is for good men to say and do nothing. It’s still the same right wing attitude of “I’ve got mine, screw everyone else!”
