The effort of stripping away human rights from entire groups of people is escalating at an alarming rate and targeting more and more groups. And for what?

We live in a very scary world at the moment...

This is how it starts. Pick a group of people, villainize them. Tell lies about them and repeat them enough that they start to sound believable. Then you slowly start to pass laws that say they can't do things they already aren't doing. Eventually, you get the public unjustifiably afraid of them to the point where you can pass unjust and unconstitutional laws restricting their behavior, and then? Well, at the risk of offending Dr. Godwin, I think we know what comes next.
@LordShadowfire spot on!
@LordShadowfire Jesus. I know what you're getting at. I dont remember Nazi Germany waving Jewish flags over their embassies and painting them over roads. I also don't remember Nazi Germany doing 'Hebrew story hour'
@BritishFailedAesthetic what are you talking about?
@NerdyPotato You both are comparing treatment of trans/lgbt people as if they are about to become Jews in Nazi Germany.
@BritishFailedAesthetic that's because it's quickly going into that direction. But even if you disagree, it makes no sense to compare Jews to the Nazis.

And that comment about waiving their flag like that's a bad thing is curious too, considering your profile picture. 🧐
@NerdyPotato WTF are you on about? The point i was making is that the American government are promoting it, Nazi Germany did not promote Judaism, you wally. It certainly wouldn't be bad for the government to wave a Jewish flag.
@BritishFailedAesthetic my government (or the majority still) is accepting that gay and trans people exist. They are not promoting it, whatever that even means. Other governments, like in the USA, are trying hard to hide people who don't fit the norm and the word erasing has already been uttered too.
@NerdyPotato At a CPAC Michael Knowles said it, extreme stance but he wasn't talking about people. Sorry, meant the USA government are promoting it at a national level, pride/trans flags in all their embassies.
@BritishFailedAesthetic if he wasn't talking about people, what was he talking about? And what do you mean by promoting?
@NerdyPotato Maybe not promoting, but virtue signalling. Some people are gay, who the hell cares? Why have a gay flag on all your embassies?
@BritishFailedAesthetic because many people do care in a negative and harmful way, and try to suppress them. Suppression of a group that does no harm to anyone is no good, as we've seen plenty of times in history, and that can only be stopped by an opposing signal.
