Do you agree the holocaust wasn’t about race?

He had lots of pows working for him.
It was still about race. Jewish people, Roma, mixed race individuals, etc. were sent to the gas chambers by virtue of race and ethnicity.

@basilfawlty89 Indeed so, but it didn't start that way. It was about dividing people into superior and inferior groups. Once a group is accepted as being inferior it becomes easier anc easier to punish them for slights, real or imagined. We see it happening now with immigrants / asylum seekers being criticised and blamed for economic problems in Europe and the USA. And again it's more about a power grab. Get people to fear "the other" and offer simple solutions to get their votes. The simple solutions won't work, but that only works to increase the fear, to get the votes, to have those voters demanding harsher policies, harsher punishments. It is terrifying in its simplicity, how enthusiastically so many religious people are persuaded, and where it might lead.

@22Michelle I hate to disagree, the race card and attempting to eliminate the races he disliked, that he felt were genetically inferior, was always primary in the Nazi aims as written by Hitler. Yes, it is terrifying to see how easily some religious zealots are conned into belief in a savior. That the far right, ultra-religious evangelists are so in love with tRump is totally upsetting. Every time he says and does things totally outrageous, like telegraphing his desires to be a totalitarian leader, he gets more backers in the far right!
