Looks like there is a 馃挬-fest about to start over Stardew Valley 馃憖

https://www.thegamer.com/stardew-valley-lgbtq-fans-harassed-after-asking-for-pronouns/

I mean, whether you're for or not for the whole adding pronouns thing, I don't think anyone should be doxxed or harassed,

but I also don't think the game dev should be boycotted for what other people do, like dood wut? 馃槓

Just enjoy the freaking game for what it is

Good grief... One side is doxxing and harassing fans and said fans are threatening to boycott the devs. All this over what, a gawd damn video game? I love Stardew Valley too, but it's just a game! One they'll probably eventually tire of before moving onto the next name. As for adding a pronouns feature to the game, I say it's ridiculous and unnecessary. For the reason I just mentioned, but also because how alienated can one possibly feel playing a video game where the characters mainly refer to you by the name you provide and barely even mention your character's pronouns? Which only makes all the seriousness surrounding this all the more absurd. If it bothers non-binary players that much, they should just name their character their preferred pronouns. If you prefer "they/them" pronouns, name your character They/Them. Problem solved!

@Ducky Yeah, I'm just hoping it doesn't have a ripple effect where the pro pronoun side harass others for streaming or playing the game, or making fanart etc,
or the anti pronoun side randomly go harassing LGBT Stardew Valley fans even if they have nothing to do with the drama...

Yeah, I've seen it happen in the past, lol

People are nuts 馃珷

And all it seems to do is push people further to extremes.
