Why do white people have such trouble with controlling their kids?

I swear, immigrant parents don’t have an issue with that. My Mexican mom just had to slap me and would have my attention lmao. My Asian friend can tell you the same thing, and my African friend still gets hit with a sandal by his mom, even at the age of 23 😂

Stigmatizing corporal punishment was a problem for some kids in terms of learning boundaries and this then is paired with a general culture of treating the child like a responsible and mature adult.

Sometimes a child just won't care if they're grounded or told to do chores. But feeling a bit of pain snaps them out of the delusion that they can act how they want without consequences (and sometimes painful ones). And some kids are just stubborn to the core and it takes them longer to learn respect or care 🤷🏾‍♂️
