I should like to have a word with the Intelligent Designer, if I may?

I should like to discuss the design of the human spine.
On paper, it seems a good idea. However, by its position, as well as the components, it is destined to fail during the lifetime of the average human. That is because the spine is best suited for an animal which walks on all four legs. Humans walk upright, thus forcing it into a column shape.

As is plainly visible on this chart, the spine of a great ape, who walks on all four limbs, is bent in a bow shape, which lends itself quite nicely to a long, enjoyable life. However, the human spine is bent into a slight S-shape, which is most unnatural.

Now, obviously, humans are not going to begin going about on all fours to accommodate their spines, as with some exceptions, their arms are not long enough to achieve such a feat. What's the solution, then, you ask?

[big][c=800000]There is none.[/c][/big]

There is no way to repair this flaw. As humans grow older, the cartilaginous tissue between the vertebrae becomes compressed, and the bones begin rubbing against one another in a most painful manner.

Why would anyone design such a nightmare?

I know mr blackthorne. There should have been a recall and the flaw addressed.
@Carla I love you. Be safe and be well. 🖤🤗

@DarkHeaven i love you back, sugar.
I'll do my best...
@Carla ty. 🖤
Why don't you go talk to an ape? cause obviously you believe in evolution. Surely an ape’s mind can evolve to explain all your questions to you..

But those are interesting photos of back issues..

Personally i think God is a bit of a sadist.. so why not give people back problems?..
@SStarfish and yet, I can still hope not, right?
Of course 🙂👍🏼@DarkHeaven
@SStarfish be safe and be well. Light and love. 🖤

if there was a designer i doubt it was an intelligent one. every engineer knows you add redundancies in case something fails but we only have one heart that keeps everything else working and if it fails a replacement isn't just plug and go. you have to find a matching type.

that's like having a battery powered device that will only work with Duracell... dumbass.

I find the design of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to be wondrous.
It might be difficult to be grateful when you criticize the creation for the sake of criticizing.

@CorvusBlackthorne
I would push back on your claim.
You do know that the theory of evolution was birthed in the hatred from racism. In 1859, which was a very long time ago when the “Natural Selection” theory was created by Darwin; he was pressured to distinguish between the elite British and the aborigines and those that came from Africa. There had to be a hierarchy. Human Cells were from gelatin. I will be interested in any story that you conjecture because instead of admiring the creation of an all powerful God. You have devised how you have figured it all out.
That claim makes creation hollow from a claim that you understand it all.
@Pfuzylogic I'm sorry. You are either gravely mistaken, or intentionally misrepresenting the theory of evolution to be something other than what it truly is. Evolutionary theory had nothing to do with race, regardless of who applied pressure in what manner. Mr. Darwin (a devout Christian, by the way) made a scientific discovery which has been proven true time and again.

@CorvusBlackthorne
Again Natural Selection has been found sadly lacking once amino acids were discovered to be what human cells were consisted of and not gelatin. Do you know how long it would take to create proteins using the evolutionary method? A whole lot more than the 14 billion years which is the supposed universe age.
Can I ask you a question?
@CorvusBlackthorne I’ve struggled back and forth with my faith for many years. During that time, I worked side by side with people of great faith at the homeless shelter and soup kitchen where I live. I won’t say that I don’t still struggle, but surely where we can help people together, is a place of common ground. Light and love. Be safe and be well. 🖤🙏
@DarkHeaven I post such things because I find the concept of creationism to be insane. I do not consider persons who have faith in something greater than they to be worthy of hatred, as one could call me a person of faith.
@CorvusBlackthorne fair. be well.

The designer would probably point out that humans overstay their welcome in terms of lifespan now.

@MarmeeMarch so very many of us have had those demands. Not so unusual.
But still...if one has a bad back, the best way to keep it in check is to be as fit and active as possible. Keeping that core strength, as much as possible. It's a fight though.
Still, bad design.

@MarmeeMarch i was disagreeing with your absolute.
Im not an engineer, but yeah, a better disc material, flexible but resilient.
Maybe have a more protective lining in the canal.
