Have you noticed that God can supposedly create planets and dinosaurs and everything that humans can't make...

...but can't make anything humans can make?
He can't make a box or a boat or a book or a building and that's when he calls and needs us to do his work for him....almost as if he's imaginary and can't really do anything himself...

I thought this was kind of an interesting thought which had not occurred to me before.
Seems that god could of made an ark for his faithful children you know?

I think this really just re-enforces the impression i have that the bible represents an embellished history in which the normal progression of warfare and politics are attributed to a god's will.

@Pikachu they consider God the creator of the world, that guy is the head of the board of directors. Why would he write a daily report or be the project lead at that point?

Going the business explanation route, he's way higher than all that and would delegate necessary tasks to lower people. But it's not as if the Bible says God has no power, there's the whole splitting of the red sea and what not.

I'm agnostic, I don't confirm nor deny an existence of God but I don't think you're going to win people over with this.
@SW-User

I don't think that's a particularly apt analogy because they do NOT consider god to be a high end executive. They consider him to be a loving parent.

I'm not trying to win anyone over with this. No one who has faith in the god of the bible will lose their faith over this and for the atheist it is preaching to the choir.
I was just hoping to stimulate some discussion.

@Pikachu they consider him to be a loving father who has cut off involvement with us to let us experience mortality, it's a test of sorts. Like the baby birds leaving their nest.

But I do question why miracles don't exist today. Why no grand happenings that could only be explained as a miracle, occur..

It could even be they attributed regular happenings to God. Like, yeah, a city on a fault line, that had corrupt people ( by anyone's standards.) will eventually have an earthquake.

Absolutely not.
The god of the bible is a living god. A god who personally involves himself in the lives of his people.
That's kinda the whole point when contrasted to the false gods like Baal or Moloch.
The go of the bible is super invested to the point where he's sent his son do die.
Christians believe that god has a plan for each individual and actively intercedes on their behalf.
I don't think you can reasonably characterize that as a hands off, let the baby bird fly idea.
But I do question why miracles don't exist today
Indeed.
Miracles appear to be negatively correlated with increase in understanding of the natural world and ability to reliably document the phenomenon.
It could even be they attributed regular happenings to God.
That really is my impression when i read the OT. Especially when they're talking about wars. When the Israelites are winning that is because god is happy with them and when their losing it's because god is mad with the people or he king or whatever.
