They pretty much predicted this

One book called the pareble of talents had the rise of a right wing dictatorship that uses religion as a farce to control and detain people and uses the phrase “make America great again”. This was written in 1998.

Another book called It can’t happen here written in 1935 tells a story about a right wing dictator who rises in power in America by promising everyone who votes for him will get 5,000 dollars and of course the money never comes. It ultimately leads to a civil war and the destruction of the country.

The Baron Trump Novels (1889 & 1893) and The Last President (1896) by Ingersoll Lockwood
• The Premise: Late 19th-century children's adventure books feature a young, wealthy protagonist named Baron Trump who lives in "Castle Trump" and is guided by a mentor named "Don". Lockwood’s 1896 novel, The Last President, depicts an outsider winning a chaotic election, sparking massive protests on Fifth Avenue in New York City

Seriously people, you can’t make this up.
