To those who dismissed Trump in the beginning: YAKETY SAX

I have always been in awe of Trumps raise to power and how his influence reached basically the whole planet. Love him or hate him you gotta give him that.

I thought there has to be another figure that had also had the same influence globally. Maybe by studying him I can understand better Trump's meteoric raise.

Enter Mr Benny Hill.

Benny Hill was an English comedian best known for The Benny Hill Show, a long-running television comedy that combined slapstick, wordplay, and weird fast framed chase scenes.
Some people criticized him for what they say was low brow, simple and sexist comedy

This guy, despite of The English stick in the butt intellectual image, with his sexist slap stick show, became Britain's most internationally recognized entertainer!!!

I figured him anf Trump must have something in common.

Both were underestimated at first. Hill was viewed as lowbrow or unsophisticated despite his enormous popularity.
Trump was widely dismissed by political commentators when he first ran for president in 2016 and was considered to have little chance of winning the Republican nomination or the presidency.

Spread through the world:

Both became internationally recognizable. Benny Hill was broadcast in over 100 countries, and his comedy was translated into many, many, many different languages.

Trump is even more recognizable world wide dir to his television persona, his presidency and the almost constant news coverage.

International Impact

Benny Hill was one of the most internationally successful television comedians of the 20th century.

THE 20TH CENTURY!!

His show influenced comedians and sketch shows around the world!! I was actually shocked by this. Benny Hill?? Really? YEAH BENNY HILL

Donald Trump is one of the most internationally recognized political figures of the 21st century. His campaigns, and presidency, have influenced political movements, campaign styles, and public discourse well beyond the United States. WELL BEYOND THE UNITED STATES!!

But there's one little, well maybe not little but, whatever.. difference.

Even tho they both were underestimated when they first started and they both became internationally recognized figures, Trump's influence has had immensely greater geopolitical, economical, and historical consequences. And while Benny hill comedy has been relegated to a historical foot note in the annals of comedy, Trumps influence globally will still be felt for many generations to come.

Think about that. TRUMPS INFLUENCE AROUND THE World WILL STILL BE FELT FOR MANY GENERATIONS TO COME,!!

So what did I learn,

Not a lot really,
That Trump is the Benny Hill of the United States and that those that dismissed him early on must be kicking themselves in the ass by now.
