So what types of lettuce are affected? There are a few varieties.
But thank you for speaking out for our well being.

@soar2newhighs They don't actually KNOW and they are not hair splitting at this point...they are just saying ALL lettuce AND possibly a few types of microgreens. They say they are working hard to try to pin point the source, but the scope of the illness is spreading, and it's now even in Massachusetts...which it wasn't before!

@soar2newhighs local grown in hydroponic gardens is the safest as it appears the problem is mainly Mexican grown lettuce

@acpguy Yup! Montezuma's revenge is now being IMPORTED!!! 🤣🤣🤣 And isn't it sort of funny that Taylor Farms sold lettuce MOSTLY to a "Mexican" restaurant? Taco Bell?

I wouldn't mind if Platner got the runs. 🤭

@Thinkerbell 🤔🤔🤔 We could send him some Taylor Farms coupons!!! 🤣🤣🤣

UPDATE: THE CULPRIT HAS BEEN FOUND.

Taylor Farms imports almost ALL of it's lettuce from Mexico...and it's the MEXICAN lettuce that is infected with the cyclospora parasite.

Iceberg lettuce in particular is affected, but you should check the company listed on the back of ALL your lettuce just in case.

You are advised to THROW IT AWAY if you have some of it in your home.
