Okay, SW, because I care about all of you, I want to give you a BIG health update:
The PARASITE that is making people in the United States sick when they eat lettuce is called Cyclospora cayetanensis.
The REASON I am posting is because I heard some INCORRECT information on the news yesterday. It is NOT enough to wash the lettuce.
I heard CORRECT information from a DOCTOR that contradicts the report above. You would actually have to COOK the lettuce to kill the parasite...and we all know that you are NOT going to cook your lettuce.
SO...unfortunately, if you want to avoid illness right now, you will not be able to eat lettuce salads.
Sorry about that...but I DO want all of you to stay healthy.
