@BluntSm0ker yes they do...i've seen matches in 3 different american cities...seattle, portland and orlando...they have devoted fans who are passionate about the game....perhaps if america has more passion for the game they would have fielded a better team tonight...there's 350m people in the states...surely you can pick the best of the pool if there were more in it...hope you get what i mean

@beermeplease Yeah, unfortunately Association Football (AKA Soccer) has a status in the US equivalent to volleyball. Volleyball has talented passionate players, but the really skillful tall athletes are all drawn into the big money of basketball. I'm not sure what high paying sport draws away the soccer talent, but I'm sure it's happening.
