A legal war, under international law, is one fought in self-defence against an actual or imminent attack, or authorised by the UN Security Council.

The America/Israel attack on Iran meets neither condition. There was no evidence whatsoever of an imminent threat, and no UN approval, which is why it is a violation of the UN Charter’s prohibition on aggression. All the legal experts agree.

Calling it defence doesn’t make it lawful. By the standard set after World War II, launching force without legal basis is itself the crime.

@DanielsASJ That is the truth of all of this. It has nothing to do with Iran and Israel and Nuclear weapons, it is about the paranoia that someone might go to America and hurt someone, even though Americans already hurt each other ever day and nobody does anything about it.

@dale74 He's not a dictator. He was elected. And quite apart from that, that's not how reality, or law, works 😂. Calling someone a dictator doesn’t magically convert their rhetoric into a legal act of war, it just shows you’re replacing evidence with labels. By your logic, every hostile speech by leaders like Vladimir Putin or Kim Jong Un would justify immediate attacks.
