Are you planning to travel to the USA in 2026 if you're not a US citizen or perm resident returning from abroad?
USA is now on par, in my view, with some African and South American (plus North Korea and China) countries in terms of border controls, and to a non US citizen or perm resident is now a very univiting country.
I don't have any personal, business or governmental/diplomatic reason to want to go to the USA, but I bet a lot of people are now hesitant given that the border vetting is not far removed from the vetting used on people applying for a security clearance to work in government or military there.
Having to provide at least the last 5 years of phone numbers, emails, social medias, locations where lived, etc. plus having to permit full 'search and siezure' of any/all electronic devices, along with all the usual customs and border control rules, is pretty much a gross over-reach.
