Hegseth's speech to the generals was along the same lines: fighting an enemy within.

Someday, generals might have to face a choice between upholding the constitution or obeying Trump. I hope that these massive anti-Trump rallies will help them find the courage to do the right thing, when they see that We The People will support them in doing so.

@DrWatson it's the rallies themselves and any dissent of any kind that MAGA is now trying to actively suppress by any means necessary (in no small part because we have a POTUS with thin skin of historic proportions and a perpetual victim complex, whether real or performative), despite their cosplay as "free speech absolutists" in recent years when they were feigning being victimized ... these days if you point out actual video of Charlie Kirk saying racist things, they will dox you, rather than acknowledging free speech applies to everybody, not just to MAGA people.
